In addition to leading EMF, Peter is responsible for origination and value creation. He is also a member of the Investment Committee of the EMF New Europe Insurance Fund.

Peter has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including direct equity investments. He was previously Head of CEE/CIS/Turkey Investment Banking at HSBC where he built a highly profitable franchise with a principal focus on advising financial institutions on capital raising and M&A in the CEE/CIS /Turkey region. He previously held CEE/CIS focused senior investment banking roles at Dresdner Kleinwort and ING Barings, having started his banking career at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development where he focused on direct equity investments in the CEE region.

John started his career in the corporate department of Macfarlanes, one of the leading law firms based in London, where he was involved in numerous private equity, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets transactions before leaving to establish and run an IT consultancy.

He is a practicing solicitor and has considerable experience of corporate/commercial law and operations.

He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector – primarily in Russia. He began his career at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development where he was a member of the insurance & pensions investment team. He then moved to ING in Russia where he was responsible for insurance & pensions and helped establish the ING non-state pension fund before joining NFP Raiffeisen’s pension fund business, ultimately being appointed Chairman of the Council.

Alexander is Chairman of the Insurance & Pensions Committee of the Association of European Businesses in Russia and a frequent speaker at conferences in this capacity.

Prior to EMF, Julide was a Principal in management consulting at Peppers and Rogers Group. She has delivered strategy, market and customer insights to clients in a wide range of industries including telecommunications, retail, media, consumer electronics, government services and financial services; and in numerous regions including Turkey, Middle East, Europe and Africa. Prior to Peppers and Rogers Group, she was leading strategic planning and business development for one of the largest ISP and content providers in Turkey.
